COGNO: Comment by 14 August 2018 - MRFF Priorities Consultation Discussion Paper

Dear COGNO member

The Australian Medical Research Advisory Board (AMRAB) is conducting a national consultation to inform the development of the second set of Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF) Australian Medical Research and Innovation Priorities (Priorities) for 2018-2020.  This is an opportunity to help shape the MRFF Priorities for 2018-2020 and ensure these Priorities accurately reflect strategic research investment opportunities. COGNO will be making a submission and invites your input on the following questions  (bullet points are fine) by cob Tuesday 14 August 2018 to cogno@ctc.usyd.edu.au :
1. Are there any outstanding Priorities from 2016-2018 that need to be extended or re-emphasised?

2. What are the unaddressed gaps in knowledge, capacity and effort across the healthcare continuum and research pipeline?

3. How can current research capacity, production and use within the health system be further strengthened through the MRFF?

4. What specific priority or program can address any of the above deficits?

5. Any other comments with reference to the Discussion Paper?
Responses will be de-identified and feed into COGNO’s submission.

Alternately you may wish to make your own individual submission via the MRFF website (https://consultations.health.gov.au/health-economics-and-research-division/medical-research-future-fund-consultation-for-the/)
